ACHIEVEMENTS
Zambia Knowledge Bank Library has achieved the following activities:
NURSERY SCHOOL Click to watch Video Clip
There is an increase in number of pupil’s enrollment a total of 42 of whom 19 are boys and 23 are girls. The Nursery School-in-charge Mr. Precious Zimba together with the Executive Board did performance assessment and pupil’s performance is so encouraging. This is so due to commitment of volunteer teachers and the Board particularly Ms. Phelire Zimba who has lent much support.
PRODUCTION UNIT:
Zambia Knowledge Bank Library grew Lima Sunflower and the yield has not been good due to poor rainfall this season. However, the Bank harvested 3 x 50 lb. bags (3 x 110 lbs) and wishes to process into cooking oil so that we add value to the crop and sell some the remaining for consumptions.

PUBLIC SERVICE
Zambia Knowledge Bank Library provides services to organizations (Ministry), clubs and individuals. Organization such as “SUN” (Scaling up Nutrition) conducted formatory meeting of the Nkhanga Ward Nutrition Coordinating Committee and Training Lead Farmers (LF) and Nutrition Support Group Leaders (NSGL).
Ministry of Agriculture also conducted Training on Farmer Registration data which was done successfully.
Individuals like THOKOZA NDHLOVU CHEWE aspiring MP for Chasetu constituency was impressed with the services and pledged to fund Zanoba.
→So far 30 beneficiaries have accessed library services of which 18 are male and 12 are female during the month.
CHALLENGES
With scarcity of funding Zambia Knowledge Bank faces financial problem to meet the planned activities.
PROPOSED SOLUTIONS AND WAY FORWARD
With availability of financial resources Zanoba wishes to recruit 4 permanent volunteers to administer Library services on daily basis.
Zanoba intends to put in place other viable income generating Activities that will sustain the Library and making it financially sound: such as poultry farming and gardening.
Increase Enrollment of Adult Literacy class during the month of July 2015.
CONCLUSION
Zambia Knowledge Bank Nkhanga Branch is doing very well in line with Reading Culture, Nursery School, clubs (Hooking club) women are meeting regularly; the Board is coordinating well.
